situation is evolving rapidly, and your employees may have questions about
their Aflac benefits as it relates to this pandemic. You can find answers to some
frequently asked questions here.

It also may be a good time for your employees to review
the short-term disability options. Aflac short-term disability is guaranteed
issue in most cases up to a $5000 monthly benefit with an initial 30day
elimination period for new illnesses and initial 12 month waiting period for
pre-existing condition. Short–term disability is an after-tax product and can
be added outside of your traditional open enrollment without tax
implications.
Aflac Hospital plan may also be a good option for employees
to consider as it pays benefits for doctor’s visits, hospitalization, ER
visits, diagnostic testing, rehab, etc.
In most cases this plan is guaranteed issue with an initial 30day
elimination period for new illnesses and an initial 12 month waiting period
for pre-existing condition. This plan can be added outside of your
traditional open enrollment as an after-tax deduction.
